A sign language interpreter collaborating with a doctor to explain something to his patient.

This initiative aims to create a database of volunteer interpreters, who could then be contacted by CSL students and their respective families when necessary. This program provides appropriate interpreter training with emphasis in confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity to ensure the protection of both our students and refugee families. Most of the individuals used as interpreters are International Medical Graduates whose background facilitates their ability to provide interpretation in medical settings.
